Lough Muckno park

Lough Muckno is a large, scenic lake, surrounded by wooded shoreline, islands, wetlands and open parkland. Its vast beauty, ever changing light, shimmering waters, the old Hope Castle make it an excellent location this year for plein air painting.

Castleblaney combines the natural beauty of the lake with the charm of a vibrant market town right outskde the gates of Muckno. Painters can enjoy relaxed cafes, bustling street scenes, historic architecture, and changing views that offer inspiration from morning coffee through to evening light
